We’ve been working on our philosophical podcast, Talking About the Big Stuff, for almost 2 years, and we’re so happy to be doing that podcast. We hope that you check it out! But we want more.

Philosophy and politics are great, and definitely part of who we are, but when I started Chocolate Diamond Media with Adam 15 years ago, the goal was more focused on art and entertainment. So as we add to our slate of projects we want to start this year, I am keeping that in mind.

At this time, I’m not ready to announce the specific details of anything, but I will tell you what I’m working on without the specifics.

A Novel

First, last November, I participated in Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month). I hit my word goal, but didn’t finish the novel. I have 300 pages, and I think less than 100 more to go to tell the story that I’m trying.

After I finish that first draft, I plan on really pushing through editing, and rewriting, and I hope that Chocolate Diamond can have its first publication! I’m really looking forward to sharing more about that over the next year.

A Podcast

The second project, that I’ve taken on, which I expect to announce officially this coming summer, is a second podcast, but this one will have a movie focus. I’ve been working for the last month with two of my best friends to plan the podcast, and we will start recording in the next month.

If we’re going to start recording next month, why will we not be officially announcing it until later? Because we’re going to record the entire first season, polish it as nicely as we’re capable, and then release it weekly. It’s a bigger undertaking than TATBS in production requirements.

A Show

I hesitate to call it a TV show, because of the way I’m hoping to release it. But the idea is a TV show in product. It’s a dark comedy, that I think we have the resources (or most of them at least) to go ahead and produce and to do so correctly.

I’ve been note taking and starting to outline a season of a show, that I think will be 8 half hour episodes, and I’m looking forward to getting back into some video production, but also at a level that I’ve never really done it before.
